Healing begins when we’re heard

Providing psychological first aid and mental health support across Africa and beyond.

Born from heartbreak, built on hope

After witnessing the deep emotional wounds left behind in our communities following the Morocco earthquake, a group of us came together, not as experts, but as people who cared. We saw the silent pain, the invisible scars, and the overwhelming need for immediate emotional support. In those moments, we realized that psychological first aid could be just as vital as physical first aid.

What started as a grassroots response quickly grew into a movement. We trained volunteers, organized mental health events, and opened safe spaces for people to speak, be heard, and begin healing. This is our promise:

No one should suffer in silence, and that healing is possible when we show up for one another.

Who We Are

NafsCure is a youth-led, volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to providing psychological first aid (PFA) and promoting mental health awareness, especially during crises and disasters.

We train individuals in practical, compassionate tools to support people in emotional shock. From confidential conversations to community-based interventions, our goal is to make emotional support accessible, free, and stigma-free.

We work across Africa and beyond, responding to urgent mental health needs and building resilience in communities often overlooked. At our core, we are listeners, helpers, and healers,  united by the belief that mental health is a human right.
